Hi, I used Find My iPhone to try and locate it, ping it, and put it into Lost Mode. None of which work when the iPhone is off. Which I understand, but what I don't understand is why iOS requires you to unlock the iPhone to connect to the internet, and none of the Find My iPhone features work when not connected to the internet. Meaning the thief turned off the iPhone (the iPhone was in sleep mode when I last had it), and presumably turned it on later, only to be greeted by a passcode? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: www.theverge.com/2015/10/14/9535339/find-my-iphone-doesnt-work-against-thievesWeb hosting marketing examples
